Cetirizine or levocetirizine – Safety communication
May 16, 2025 - The Food and Drug Administration warned that patients stopping the oral allergy medicines cetirizine (eg, Zyrtec®) or levocetirizine (eg, Xyzal®) after long-term use may experience rare but severe itching.
